KSM-66 The Lost Review

my review of ksm 66

What is there to say about KSM-66? In this post we will dive deep into the rabbit hole and discover what makes this a truly magical extract of Ashwagandha.

My experiments with KSM-66 started only a month ago but my history with the potent herb Ashwagandha goes back further than that.

I had heard of this mysterious herb called Ashwagandha on Reddit. In fact, there were people absolutely raving about it prompting me to dive head first into preliminary research phase.

My research led me to the farthest corners of the web onto ancient websites no doubt built back in the 90’s. I was reading tales of strength and vitality. I was reading bulleted lists highlighting benefit after benefit. Men were reporting firm and potent erections, they were reporting enhanced strength in the gym. I unearthed loads of personal reports about potent anti-anxiety effects.

I was also reading accounts of people reporting extreme negative side effects. What the hell was going on here?

…I knew I had to secure some of this stuff immediately and enter the testing phase.

But first…the search for a vendor that wasn’t going to rip me off with shoddy goods. At this point in the research I discovered 2 standardized forms of Ashwagandha known as KSM-66 and Sensoril.

Read this post here for a complete breakdown of the core differences between these 2 extracts.

In short, Ashwagandha powder itself is not regulated so you’re not guaranteed any amount of the active Withanolide components responsible for the herbs powerful effects. When you buy something like KSM-66 or Sensoril, you are guaranteed a specific ratio of these active components.

This is why I opted to purchase both Sensoril and KSM-66 from Nootropics Depot.

My journey with Sensoril was a smashing success but I hit a motivational wall. I found the little 125mg capsules completely crushed my stress and anxiety in a powerful way…but at a cost. Over time I found myself simply too sedated to get any work done. I would sit in front of the laptop for hours too apathetic to do any writing whatsoever. I was not motivated to do the work that needed to be done.

At the end of my experiments with Sensoril I concluded the compound was ultra potent but best used at night or occasionally during the day. Isolated usage.

KSM-66 has been a completely different experience. Rather than acting as a sedative I find its effects much more stimulating. I also love how with any Ashwagandha derivative, the effects hit you fast. 45 minutes into dosing you already begin to feel the potent effects coursing through your system. Your stress levels drop and you fall back into a chilled, relaxed demeanor.

The following is a list of positive effects I experienced on KSM-66:

  • More energy
  • More chilled out
  • Lowered stress
  • Boosted libido
  • Enhanced mood

Negative effects

I did notice a number of interesting side effects. For the most part, I found I was LESS likely to engage in social interactions. I believe somehow my verbal processing had been somewhat diminished. Talking became more difficult and I wasn’t interested in keeping any kind of conversation going. Ultimately Ashwagandha induced a kind of social apathy. I didn’t feel anxious. I just didn’t care about putting on a show for people or making small talk.

At times I also found myself extremely irritable especially towards others. I had a short fuse and mentally checked out anytime I found a situation or person annoying. I was more likely to snap.

I think if you’re coming from a place where your people pleasing is negatively effecting you, these effects could be beneficial. Maybe you come off too over the top to people. KSM-66 or Sensoril could tone you down so you’re not as manic.

KSM-66 stack

I found KSM-66 stacked very well with ALCAR. I felt the ALCAR provided a pro social element not present in the KSM-66. ALCAR also delivers a powerful punch to overall mood and mental agility, smoothing out the sedative apathetic nature of Ashwagandha. The 2 nootropics harmonized quite well. On the flip side, KSM-66 toned down the anxiety associated with ALCAR. As a stimulating nootropic, ALCAR can cause a bit of anxiety. KSM-66 mitigated these negatives nicely.

Paired with a cup of coffee or green tea, KSM-66 and ALCAR is a powerful stack to boost you through the mid day slump.

Final thoughts

Overall KSM-66 is a fantastic herbal nootropic. After using Ashwagandha in its many forms, I found it’s mostly a potent anxiolytic on its own but requires help from other nootropics to deliver on the mental processing front.

If you’re looking for a place to purchase high quality KSM-66, check out Nootropics Depot KSM-66.

Hi Fallon,

Interesting experience with KSM-66 and Sensoril. I also noticed a stimulating boost from KSM but I didn’t experience the social interaction impact you described. I also experimented with the Ashwagandha extract by Now Foods, which makes me very drowsy (and calm), so it’s a decent option before bed.

Cheers!
