Looks like in 2022 Nootropics vendors are still experiencing shortages of both racetams and Phenibut with customers begging for answers. Even Lift Mode can’t maintain their inventory supply, and at the time of this writing has no Phenibut FAA in stock. Phenibut FAA is their flagship product so it’s concerning indeed.

There are theories why these vendors are running out – everything from supply chain problems to regulations has been offered up as a reason.

The best case scenario is the shortages are due to short term panic buying and nothing to do with manufacturing, supply, or regulations. Nootropics Depot hasn’t shed any light into the situation. I believe they’ve been wanting to step away from the racetams for quite some time since they moved all their good Nootropics to the backend of their site, although they still have their toes in the water. They have run out once before only to restock, so they aren’t running away from these Nootropics very fast. If large vendors like ND are running into these supply problems it’s not looking good for the industry as a whole. This coupled with Science.Bio’s closure announcement makes all of this a troublesome situation.

I was excited to see Pure Nootropics had Nootropics like Phenylpiracetam when ND did not, but disappointed when they were quickly depleted. Not because I wanted some for myself – but because this signals a serious problem in the industry. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced shortages like this.

Is it over for the Nootropics industry? 

I am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Luckily I have plenty of Phenibut but I’m a little light in sack with Piracetam and Phenylpiracetam – some of my favorites.
