I’ll be the first to climb to the top of the mountain to praise Modafinil and its raw effectiveness for enhancing productivity and getting things done. In fact, I’ve used it succesfully to hammer through various projects, road trips, and work related tasks. The stuff is absolutely powerful.
So why did I grab my stash of Modafinil and flush everything down the toilet?

I can think of a few reasons why someone might be on the search for an alternative to Modafinil. Perhaps you think it’s too expensive, or maybe you’ve tried Modafinil but didn’t respond well. Maybe you lost your supplier and are looking for another one.
Whatever the case, I can think of a few nootropics that fit the bill as somewhat comparable. Let’s get one thing straight though, only Modafinil will ever feel like Modafinil.

Throughout my years experimenting with nootropics I always avoided the herbs and adaptogens. I was of course on the lookout for supplements and nootropics for my anxiety and depression but assumed these herbal type varieties were weak compared to compounds like Phenibut and Piracetam.
