So here it goes. Full disclosure, Rupharma sent me this free of charge along with a bunch of other interesting compounds. I was immediately attracted to the products being that they were from Russia. Russia is home to the origins of many Nootropics, Phenibut included. Phenibut was originally synthesized for the Russian Cosmonauts for space flight. They essentially needed something to crush anxiety while simultaneously increasing brain function. The problem with most traditional anti-anxiety meds is their notoriously terrible side effects on mental functioning. While things like Xanax do eliminate anxiety, they do so at the cost of your brain function. Phenibut has similar effects on anxiety but with almost zero negative effects on cognitive function. Now, this doesn't mean Phenibut is not without its dangers and one must always be aware of the potential for addiction. This is a compound that effects the GABA system. Similar to alcohol and other GABA type drugs, there are consequences to messing around with such neurotransmitters.

This isn't a complete breakdown of what Phenibut is, but rather my personal experience with this specific product. I took 3 tablets totaling 750mg on an empty stomach with strong coffee. This is the best way to take Phenibut in my opinion. I immediately recognized the acidic taste of the compound. Even in tablet form you can taste the acidic nature as you pop it in your mouth. It reminded me of Phenibut HCL which has a similar consistency. In fact, it could be Phenibut HCL for all I know but the packaging did not indicate such info, although everything was written in Russian so maybe? Why can't countries write in 'Merican like everyone else does? /s

In 45 minutes I noticed the slow come up of the classic Phenibut experience. Phenibut starts slow and compounds over time. It is a LONG lasting compound. Having experience with Phenibut I concluded this stuff was indeed Phenibut. I did not notice that the product was stronger nor inferior. It felt like the Phenibut I get from other reputable suppliers like Lift Mode. 

Overall I found the product was solid. $8 bucks gets you 5 Grams. They come in 250mg tablets. The prices are comparable with Lift Mode but honestly the shipping takes 1 - 2 weeks, that is unsatisfactory for most. However, the company also stocks other notable Nootropics like Mexidol and Modafinil. If your plan is to pick up these types of Nootropics then it makes sense to also add some real Russian Phenibut to the cart as well. I will say the Phenibut is not better or worse than the product you get from lift mode but if I'm restocking Emoxypine or Modafinil I will certainly add it to the cart. Honestly sometimes it's nice to have Phenibut in an easy to take tablet form, and not have to worry about weighing out the powder.

This Phenibut gets the Gonootropics golden seal of approval. Rupharma also has stellar customer service. Seriously, I literally just emailed them and got a reply back within a minute. You just don't see that level of service even with domestic US vendors. There's also the sex appeal factor of getting real Russian stuff...I mean how cool is that!! 

I ordered my first Modafinil from afinilexpress. 

It is pretty easy to get it over there and you can pay with Bitcoin. It took around 7 working days from India to Thailand. The transport costs are in the price included.

It sucks you can't get Tianeptine anymore because it was one of the best Noots I think I've ever tried. My main problem is Depression and not able to feel pleasure in most day to day activities. Stuff normal people find enjoyable I can't seem to find the enthusiasm. Tianeptine delivered me from that state of mind, temporarily. Actually, it even seemed to rewrite some neurotransmitters in my brain, after I would stop taking it I would still feel the anti depressant effects.

I'm talking about the Tianeptine Sulfate btw. Never did get a chance to try Sodium but I heard Sodium was faster acting and more addictive. I could take anywhere from 25 - 50mg of the Sulfate version once a day and thats all I needed. Instant relief and the world became brighter. You know there is a little opiate buzz to the Tianeptine which is nice. Higher doses increase this type of euphoria although I never pushed the limits. I used it medicinally. 

If I really wanted the ultimate boost I would take it alongside some Kratom...WOW! Ultra powerful combo and guaranteed to have a good day. 

Luckily I still have Kratom to get me through the worst of my moods. A nice red vein strain does me just right. Phenibut helps but not as much. I respond much better to opioid type compounds....

It is too bad you can't get Tianeptine anymore, I pray for the day Nootropics Depot or some other vendor restocks the supply!!

Well, there goes another vendor folks. They were my go to supplier after the closing of Duck Dose. These guys can't seem to stay in business for very long. I've received samples from other vendors which appear to be legit but I'm interested to hear what your experience has been with other vendors. The other competitors include Buymoda.org, Afinil Express, and Neo Modafinil. Interestingly enough, RUpharma sells Modafinil. I know for a fact Rupharma is legit but in my experience the really good product comes from India, and they are a Russian company.

So long Modafinil Star. I have no doubt someone will step in to take their place. The only question is whether or not they'll offer good customer service, good product, and stand the test of time.

my experiences with my first Phenylpiracetam intake:

took it 7:00am in the morning, 200mg sublingually (nootropicsdepot.com, tablets). felt nothing for one hour...I might have expected too much...but then when I hit the gym, I could feel that I had more energy, there was no mental boost, but just more energy and less fatigue. I did at the end of my session a 250 pounds farmers walk, which normally I could never do. 2 hours later I had my Thai lessons with my teacher, still focused, so there was a cognitive working part as well...after 4:00pm I got a little bit tired...I guess it stayed around 9 hours in my body. Not bad as a training booster but also for doing some things you need to focus on, will take it once a week for a hard training session. You guys (girls) had similar experiences?

I have to say that it is now my number 3 favorite nootropics after 1.) Phenibut and 2.) Modvigil (Modafinil).

Hello Fallon, and everyone else. My journey into noots started just recently. It's been a couple months since I quite taking my prescribed Vyvanse for ADD. I had been on it for almost a year and just noticed terrible side effects. Coming off I had what is probably called low dopamine or anhedonia, inability to feel pleasure and general low mood, i would even say Depression. 

Things have gotten better for me especially with stuff like L-Tyrosine, Modafinil, Pramiracatam and the occasional nicotine lozenge. i feel the racetams are repairing my brain to a degree.

I know there is lots to learn about nootropics and I take things day by day always learning and experimenting with new things.

This is the review section of the Forum. As it grows it will become a massive database of personal experiences. Your contributions here are greatly appreciated and contribute to the growing body of Nootropics knowledge. Currently there are not a lot of sources for good anecdotal reports regarding Nootropics. 

When writing your reviews please don't hesitate to be as detailed as possible. The longer the review the better. Include critical information like the specific nootropic you're reviewing, your dosage, where you purchased the compound etc. 

Well written reviews will be included in the official index. Once there is enough data I will create an easily searchable catalog system for curious users. It will be an Erowid of sorts for Nootropics. 

There is plenty of stuff to write about. If you have any experience with the racetams, choline sources, Phenibut, Modafinil, or any other Nootropic, share your knowledge!

What's going on?   I'm going to kick off this section of the forum with my own introduction.

My name is Fallon and I make Nootropics related content on YouTube. I've personally found Nootropics to be ultra powerful solutions to brain frog, anhedonia, Depression, anxiety, and poor cognition. My introduction to Nootropics was through a sack of Piracetam I purchased back in 2015. It hit all the right spots. It lifted the brain fog, improved my mood, and notably reduced the constant background anxiety. The rest is history and now I have almost 200 videos and over 100,000k words of written content on the blog. My original mission was to inform others of Nootropics and educate people who may be thinking of getting prescribed dangerous drugs for their conditions. 

Outside of Nootropics I run a couple of online businesses and work for a local entrepreneur. I live in a small coastal city in California and grew up in an even smaller town. Growing up was all about going to the river, hanging out at the local skate park, and trying not to be bored. Most of my friends never made it out.

I think about improving my life everyday and do my best to maximize my time. Currently my main goals are growing this community and getting back to my roots as an information technology specialist, mainly system administration and networking. I look forward to landing a solid career position and just working and coasting.
