This one is about Magnesium.

Let me tell you a little story how stupid I was in the past.

I already took magnesium years ago, as I knew about the benefits. What I took was malate, oxide, citrate or other forms of magnesium.

Little did I know about BLOOD BRAIN BARRIER until last year November. I bought my first magnesium glycinate and what a huge difference!!!

Since then my sleep was way better and -as a personal trainer- I recommended that to my clients, also to my friends. The combination with

200mg of L-Theanine is a great sleep aid for those wo do not know. I got positive response from many people.

If you haven't use it yet, make sure you do, it really helps you.

do you guys stop taking nootropics sometimes?

I am not taking anything for 3 weeks. Well except Magnesium Gylcinate / Zinc / B-Complex.

Not feeling bad at all, also having a break from work and from my girlfriend as I am in my country, far away from Thailand.

Nevertheless, looking forward to taking Phenibut / Modafinil / Phenylpiracetam again  Big Grin Wink

Lately I've had extremely good success with N Acetyl Cysteine. It's been a personal game changer and something I will probably take regularly until I see a good reason not to. I've found it almost completely smooths out morning anxiety and intrusive thoughts related to what I have to do for the day. As an example, I will usually have some anxiety thinking about the stuff I have to do, especially if those projects involve talking to people, or projects/activities with many unknown variables. My mind also extrapolates far into the future and generally sees only the negatives of a situation without thinking about the good that could come. I've gotten pretty good at recognizing these flaws in my thinking and can quickly snap out of most of them, but NAC takes things to the next level. The intrusive thoughts almost stop completely and I have more control over how I choose to think about something.

In the mornings, I also love coffee but the caffeine completely sky rockets my anxiety. L-Theanine is a must anytime I drink coffee. Many of you are familiar with L-Theanines synergistic properties with Caffeine. It completely smooths out the Caffeine jitters and makes the experience actually enjoyable.

The NAC + L-Theanine + Coffee in the morning is truly a thing of glory. The decrease in anxiety is notable and the positive effects of the coffee are enjoyed. Perhaps it's just me, but I don't seem to gain tolerance to caffeine. Everytime I drink coffee I pretty much get the same level of effects. I don't overdo it. 1 - 2 cups in the morning at the most. My uncle will easily drink 1 - 2 POTS of coffee and also smoke a pack of Marlboro Reds in a day. WOW! When he comes to visit the family my mom immediately sets out a giant ash tray and buys a ton of coffee, also stocking the fridge with Pepsi, his second favorite beverage he drinks all day. Now that's a stack.

The NAC and L-Theanine can be quite sedating and thus benefits from caffeine or some other stimulant. I will no doubt throw in some Phenylpiracetam to this stack and gauge the results.

Right now I'm taking 1000mg of NAC + 400mg of L-Theanine. This seems to be a good dosage range for now.

I have tried just about every nootropic, but none has been comparable to the nootropic effect of the ketogenic diet at least on my brain in particular. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, depression, and brain fog it has reduced these symptoms by 80% and I am now looking forward to social situations and it was only two weeks ago prior to starting the ketogenic diet that I feared such situations. I have not felt so alive since my freshman year of high school during which time I began to suffer such symptoms. The ketogenic diet consists of fat and protein consumption (Basis: 70% Fat, 25% Protein, 5% Carbs) with extremely minimal carb and sugar consumption. So this diet is gluten-free and basically sugar-free as well and two such compounds are known to be very detrimental to mental health. Please research further into this for yourselves if you suffer from similar issues to myself. I am sure this diet can help with a great multitude of health issues. I am no longer using nootropics so I won't be on this site too much anymore, but I wish everyone the best of health, after all as cliche as it sounds "your health is your wealth." (You will crave carbs like they're crack for a few days and sugar as well, but you have to be mentally strong and avoid these urges if you want to make a true change for the better.)

In 2019 there are no major wars. I forget who, but someone coined the idea that our generation is going through a spiritual war. There are more scatter brained people than you could possibly count and many individuals feel they lack purpose and direction. Social media rules their life and depression sinks in deep as you scroll deeper and deeper through Facebook and Instagram feeds. It would appear as the Great Banksy said, "all the fun is happening somewhere else."

The solutions to life are simple but also complicated. It's a paradox of sorts and you must sort it out in your head. The simple solution to this constant stream of information is absolute focus and purpose. Focus means adjusting the lens of your perception to allow in only the things you feel are important. When something is in focus it means everything else is blurry. The key to surviving in this new wild wild west is absolute focus.

Many people ask, "what are the best Nootropics for focus?"

I think they lack an understanding of what focus is. What they are really saying is, which Nootropics will allow me to work for long periods at a time without checking social media. What they are asking for is an almost impossible request. The problem is not focus but a problem of addiction and lack of purpose. When someone is addicted to alcohol you would not say they have a focus problem. When you give up an addiction you must replace it with something else to fill the vacuum, otherwise the mind goes crazy. You must know where you are going, and what you want. I'm talking about deep purpose.

Before you fuel up the car isn't it ideal to know where you are going? A general sense of the path ahead? Otherwise, you are wasting gas. In life, time is limited. Time is something you will never get back. It should not be wasted. Not even the best stacks can give man more time. All you can do is focus relentlessly on the things that matter most. This means blocking out the crap (social media) and adjusting your lens of perception on the things you find valuable. Make everything else blurry. Make it so blurry as to be an unrecognizable blob of nonsense.

The spoils of life will go to the men and women who can drown out the constant noise of social media and focus on their craft, their values, their family, and their legacy. Those who cannot manage to focus or find purpose will drift aimlessly like a leaf in the wind. They will become an NPC (non player character.) They will bend to the will of someone elses purpose. This is how the average person will exist. Average people will go on to live average lives, and with the coming age of automation the average existence is not going to be a pretty one.

Learning to focus means programming your own brain, thinking for yourself, and disregarding the constant onslaught of everyone elses values.

It is of immense value to spend some time thinking about what you want, and then learning to focus on that.

Because consider the alternative....not good!

I've been using NAC for the past couple weeks or so with good results. It's quickly becoming a GOTO Nootropic I use for reducing anxiety and intrusive thought patterns.

I started taking NAC at night and noticed I woke up much earlier than usual. A good couple hours earlier in fact. I took it this way for a few days before switching it up and taking it during the day. The day time effects are much more pronounced and it's clear to me that NAC is a powerful compound for general psychological well being. The therapeutic value of NAC shows up as an overall reduction in anxiety, neuroticism, and obsessive behaviors.

Many studies point to NAC being highly useful for reducing irritability (Autism study), Reducing negative symptoms of OCD, and reducing impulsive/addictive tendencies.

NAC seems to exert its influence through both its antioxidant component (Glutathione) and through its modulation of the excitatory neurotransmitter Glutamate. In the chronically obsessed and addicted, elevated Glutamate levels are observed. NAC reduced Cocaine cravings in one study by leveling out Glutamate levels. Glutamate is the brains main excitatory neurotransmitter. It's the gas pedal in the car. You can think of GABA as the brakes. If the 2 are out of balance it's like the car is going too fast and out of control. Too much gas and not enough brakes. In the brain, excessive Glutamate activity and not enough GABA results in addiction to GABA type compounds and can manifest itself as anxiety, fear, and general neuroticism. NAC helps to restore the natural balance of Glutamate.

Personally I've found NAC is a game changer for morning anxiety. It kicks in at about the 1 - 2 hour mark and lasts for a good part of the day. I feel pretty much leveled out and calm. I have found that NAC is hard on the stomach, some say due to its acidic nature. Drinking enough water and taking NAC with a little food can mitigate much of the negative side effects.

I will continue to take NAC until this bottle is gone. Like most compounds, it is probably a good idea to cycle NAC.

Noopept review
https://nootropicsource.com/
I read alot of good things about noopept. I figured I should give it a go. I purchased 2 grams of powder from the vendor above, I cannot comment how reputable they are though. When I got it I first had I difficult time weighing out 10mg, as my scale didn't go that small but I managed to figure it out by dividing a larger amount several times.
I took 10 maybe 15 mg sublingual. The taste was very chemically not horrible just different.
Within  5 or so mins I began to have a slightly speedy clearheaded feeling. This could have been placebo but who knows. I have taken it several times since then, it is definitely a hit or miss nootropic. A few times I got nothing,  but there were a fee times I got mood lift, motivation, and antianxiety all it one. I also had good effects taking this with bacopa or ksm 66.
I'm currently still researching noopept as a cognitive enhancer.
