Today I've been thinking about focus...and time.

Have you ever grabbed a fistful of sand and watched it pour from your hands? The harder you squeeze the FASTER it leaves you. That's how 2019 feels...
Every year getting older. Every year watching time fly by like a New York City subway train...

WHOOSH!

There's still so much to experience and so little time. And BTW, This is a new world we live in. This world requires sheer focus more than any other time in history. You see, for our grandparents generations focusing was easy because they lacked options and things to do. Not for us. There's billions of distractions, and that's not even overstating the fact.
And trust me, if you don't learn to focus it's gonna be hard times. A person who can't focus is like a leaf in the wind drifting aimlessly wherever the wind takes them. Do you want to be in the same place you are now in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Not me. I'm at the bottom of the elevator and there's only one way to go baby. There is no more time for scatter brained thinking and bone headed moves.

Now is the time to get STACKED UP and pursue goals.

Talking about focus I've discovered a handful of powerful stacks in 2019:

Modafinil + Semax - This one was like a major breakthrough. I know I throw around the term Nootropic a lot - even when talking about non-nootropics like Phenibut, Kratom, and other compounds. Semax is one of the very few compounds that is actually a Nootropic. It will legit make you focus and absorb information more intelligently thanks to proven increases in BDNF. Stacked with Modafinil is some true next-level energy, motivation, and relentless focus. I will easily power through the most boring tasks and projects on this stack. Highly recommended to stack with 200 - 400mg of L-Theanine to take the edge off.

Mexidol + L-Theanine + Coffee - This is an ultra smooth and buttery focus stack. Mexidol is hands down the best compound I've experienced for clearing morning brain fog. It has potent anti-oxidant effects and makes the brain more sensitive to GABA and Acetylcholine. The result is a calm level headed focus. Combined with the L-Theanine and Coffee this stack delivers a solid 2 - 3 hours of unwavering focus smoother than a babys butt guaranteed.

I get the Mexidol and Semax online from Rupharma.

Outside of these stacks I've also drastically reduced my 1-2X a week Phenibut dosage with compounds like Mexidol and Fasoracetam. These compounds make the brain more sensitive to GABA and results in needing much less Phenibut. With this strategy rebound anxiety from Phenibut is nearly non-existent.
I've also been experimenting with stuff like Noopept just before going to sleep...interesting to say the least. Dreams seem less dreamy and more real...if that makes sense.

PEACE!

Yes it's true. Another Modafinil vendor closing their doors. There's something going on in the industry as a whole...what that something is has yet to be fully revealed. I'll update this thread with info as the truth develops.

In the meantime, BuyModa seems to be the next best alternative.

Piping Rock from the US!

As you all know I live in Thailand. The only nootropics they sell here are: ALCAR, L-Theanine and Alpha Lipoic Acid. That's it. So I had to do some research and found Piping Rock from the US.

It takes around 7 working days which is fucking fast!!! (nootropicsdepot.com takes 3-4 weeks)

You find many products there, such as Alpha GPC, ALCAR, L-Theanine, Citicoline, Bacopa, PQQ, NAC, Magnesium Glycinate, L-Threonate and many other things....

@Fallon: they also have liquid extracts...Their Ashwagandha is not bad at all, so is their Valerian Root  Big Grin

check it out!

In this review I'll be diving into my experiences using Semax. Semax was included as part of the Russian care package sent to me by Rupharma. Rupharma has proven to be a reliable supplier of Nootropics, many of which are hard to come by. Since the closing of Ceretropic things like Semax have been difficult to find.

Semax is a Russian synthesized compound used in various medical scenarios, most notably strokes. This is a common theme with Nootropics, most of the studies involve individuals with severe brain traumas. Very few studies involve healthy individuals although this does not mean healthy people cannot benefit. According to Wikipedia, Semax is part of the Russian List of Vital & Essential Drugs. A list which I can't seem to find easily.

With compounds like Semax however, there are interesting mechanisms which could hold massive benefits to healthy individuals. Semax increases BDNF (Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) This is a specific protein in the brain designed to repair and regrow neurons. BDNF is crucial to the formation of long term memories as well as an individuals capability to learn and absorb new information. There are still many parts of the brain which can grow new neurons. BDNF is crucial for neurogenesis and a potent powerhouse for anyone looking to study for school or learn new information in general.

In rats, Semax has shown a 1.4 fold increase in overall BDNF protein levels resulting in essentially smarter rats. The study noted that Semax treated rats were quicker to learn which actions produced electric shocks. But what about the human rat brain you say?? Well, we don't have much to go off except for the anecdotal reports.

My Experience

The liquid Semax from Rupharma came in a small glass bottle with a separate applicator. I was told the Semax must be kept in the fridge to preserve the active compounds. Apparently the quality degrades when kept at room temperature although I've read otherwise. Still, I immediately popped it in the fridge when it came in the mail. The package shipped with a small ice pack to keep the product cool.

Semax is a peptide and has poor oral availability. The most effective method of administration is up the nose. This product is not a spray but does include a dropper. I took 1 drop in each nostril per the online instructions from Rupharma.

Instantly I experienced a mild headache. Then my anxiety kicked in. Was my brain going to explode? Was this stuff going to KILL ME?? You know, these are the things you think when you've just dropped some obscure Russian liquid (that ships with an ICE PACK) down your nose. The headache however quickly subsided.

Aside from the headache I immediately felt some kind of brain activation. Like a buzzing in the brain, a slight stimulation of sorts. I noticed a mild boost in mood. An hour later I experienced a notable increase in overall focus and mood. It was easier to sit down at the computer and just write and read.

For some reason I thought it a good idea to take Modafinil. I had work soon and really wanted to crank up the power. Semax and Modafinil is perhaps the closest thing I've experienced to prescription grade stimulants like Vyvanse or Adderall.

Modafinil typically will not have me examining every single detail or caring about getting something EXACTLY right. Those of you familiar with Adderall know what I'm talking about. It's that stupid attention to the most insignificant details. At work I must have been cleaning this particular tool for a long time before I noticed what was going on. I HAD to get EVERY speck of dirt from EVERY CREVASSE. Anyway, I'll probably write up a separate review on that stack. It was a solid stack though.

On the second day I took Semax later in the afternoon. I was feeling that 3pm lull coming on. This time of the day is the PERFECT time to test noots in my opinion. If there are any energizing or Nootropic qualities in the compound they will be obvious. I noted once again an increase in focus and energy. I was able to get more done during this time then I typically would. It also seemed like I was remembering details of certain work related tasks much easier, recall seemed to be positively effected.

The acute effects lasted for 2 - 3 hours before tapering off. There's not really a crash, at least that I can tell.

Overall I've found Semax is a good Nootropic. Probably good stuff to study on. If it's really increasing BDNF then it's a good idea to put it to good use. At this point in my life I'm not really in a place where there is tons of new information to encode. There are no tests to pass. There is nothing important or complex for me to remember. Semax will definitely have a special place in my fridge.

Thanks for reading.

Oxiracetam

you all know what it is so I just wanna talk about my first intake which was today.

I took 750mg sublingually around 7:00am, a second serving around 11:30am and a third one (because I felt nearly nothing) around 3:00pm.

It is very very subtle, could it be that I am non responder ? who knows, but there is definitely no focus, no other feelings, nothing...

this was my second Racetam after Phenylpiracetam. I think I will stay with Phenyl  Big Grin

When it comes to focus I will go for my good old focus stack:  100mg Theacrine, 30mg Noopept and 150mg Uridine.

cheers

The following guide will serve as a high level overview and introduction to the popular Nootropic Modafinil.

What is Modafinil?

Modafinil is a Wakefulness promoting agent prescribed to Narcoleptics and individuals with shift work sleep disorder - essentially people who work the graveyard shift. Modafinil was never designed as a cognitive enhancing Nootropic but has been embraced as such. In the Nootropics community Modafinil is widely considered the King. As a Nootropic it satisfies much of the criteria as outlined by the father of Nootropics himself. Modafinil increases cognition, produces little to no serious side effects, and is non toxic to the point where an LD-50 has not even been established. LD-50 represents the amount of a drug required to kill half of the users.

Modafinil has a stimulant nature, sometimes imperceptible depending on your overall energy levels. When well rested, Modafinil delivers subtle stimulatory effects but nothing notable. When under slept, the true power of Modafinil comes fully in to play. Modafinil completely eliminates the negative cognitive effects associated with no sleep, little sleep, or poor sleep. Modafinil reduces fatigue and one feels like they've actually gotten the best sleep of their life. The extent to which you notice Modafinil is generally correlated to your quality of sleep and energy levels. There are also specific genotypes which govern how you respond to Modafinil. Most notably, individuals with rs4680 gene do not respond to Modafinil. This is a gene responsible for breaking down Dopamine in the Pre Frontal Cortex. The only way to know if you have this gene is to get tested. Generally, Modafinil is well tolerated by most individuals and there's plenty of positive anecdotes attesting to Modafinils ability to increase wakefulness, energy, and focus. Many users including myself also report elevated moods and positive impacts on Depression. Stimulants in general can have an anti-depressive effect especially those modulating the Dopamine response. Modafinil has demonstrated to be a weak Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor. To date, the mechanisms behind how Modafinil works has yet to become fully elucidated. The modulation of the Dopamine system is one theory behind the stimulating effects.

What Modafinil Isn't

Modafinil is not some cartoonish limitless pill popularized by mainstream media movies like Limitless with A list celebrity Bradley Cooper. At best, Modafinil is going to wake you up, boost energy levels, increase focus, and probably keep you awake all night too. At worst, Modafinil will do very little for you, especially if you have that genotype I mentioned earlier. It's not a magic pill with no consequences. Many users report a tolerance build up over time, with some users reporting Modafinil stops working completely. The body needs sleep and will force you into hibernation if you push the limits. Sleep debt is a real thing. Luckily we do not see any dependence issues with Modafinil. I would argue that caffeine is much more addictive and creates a real state of withdrawal upon cessation. This same response is not seen with Modafinil.

Modafinil is NOT Adderall, or even a comparable substitute on any level (Although combined with other Nootropics you can achieve some impressive stacks.)

Modafinil Versions

So you'll no doubt run across 4 different versions of Modafinil out there in the wild, sometimes more. This is confusing for new users. Essentially, there are 2 versions of Modafinil sold by 2 different pharma companies, and 2 different Armodafinil versions sold by the same 2 companies.

Below you'll see what I'm talking about:

Modalert - Modafinil made by SUN Pharmaceuticals
Modvigil - Modafinil made by HAB PHARMA

Waklert - Armodafinil made by SUN Pharmaceuticals
Artvigil - Armodafinil made by HAB PHARMA

At the top of this hierarchy is Modafinil and Armodafinil. Armodafinil is a slightly modified version of Modafinil, longer lasting, and stronger. You need much less of the compound to achieve the same results. Armodafinil is sold in 150mg tablets while Modafinil is sold in 200mg tablets. Armodafinil is VERY strong in my experience. I never take the full 150mg and usually break the tablet in half. In fact, I also don't take with coffee unless I have copious amounts of L-Theanine. Modafinil substantially potentiates the effects of other stimulants. This stuff can and will cause anxiety especially if you're already neurotic and high strung to begin with. My goto version is Modalert 200mg from SUN Pharmaceuticals although honestly, Modvigil is just as good.

This leads us into a few of the common side effects.

SIDE EFFECTS

As mentioned, Modafinil is praised for its high safety profile and limited side effects. Notable side effects include:
  • Anxiety
  • Elevated heart rate
  • Sulfur urine smell
  • Insomnia
  • Headaches
These side effects are common to most standard run of the mill stimulants, minus the funny smelling urine effect. In Modafinil, there is a type of sulfur compound that is broken down and eliminated producing an unsavory odor upon elimination.

Most side effects involving anxiety are easily mediated with calming Nootropics like L-Theanine. Once again, note that Modafinil will greatly enhance the effects of caffeine. Headaches are usually a sign of dehydration. Drink water throughout the day even though you'll be pissing like a race horse every 20 minutes.

Buying Modafinil

As some of you know Modafinil Star just went out of business. They were my GOTO supplier for Modafinil. However, I have tried product from Buymoda.org with great results and other members of the Forum have reported positive reviews for Afinil Express.

Expect to pay with Bitcoin for many of these vendors. I know they give you some pretty good discounts if you choose to pay in Bitcoin. Expect to wait 1 - 2 weeks for your order to arrive. If you live in the US it will get stuck in Customs clearance for at least a week. I know this having ordered many times from these overseas companies. For the most part I have found the Modafinil coming from India is actually quite good.

Legality

Modafinil is a schedule 4 compound in the United States. It is illegal to posses without a prescription. Keep that in mind. Also keep in mind the rarity of anyone ever getting busted from ordering Modafinil online. In my book The Modafinil Manual I discuss some strategies for staying anonymous and minimizing risk. I have not ran across a single documented report of anyone getting arrested for ordering or having Modafinil. The scheduling system of drugs in the US is a complete joke. I do not personally worry about it but you have to make your own choice and weigh the risk.

Here are some pics of legit Modafinil I've collected over the years.

Hi! Can anyone share their experiences with Kratom? I am thinking of ordering some from Happy Hippo. Is this a good company? I am looking for something to help with annoying knee pain and for good energy. I am confused with the different colors & effects/differences between the types. So many names and varieties to choose from.

Thank you so much!   Heart

so I decided to get my first Modafinil from afinilexpress because I read a lot of positive things about it.

The delivery was fast, just 7 working days (from India to Thailand), you can pay in Bitcoin, you get a discount as well.

Before I took my first tablet I read about Modvigil that it is not as strong as Modafinil and that it could be a fake as well. I was a bit disappointed

and decided to take a whole tablet (200mg).

And what a big mistake I made!!!! I did not feel anything after 30-60min. But after that I could literally feel that I am "on"! I was not tired at all, I

felt more like a robot, like a machine. I worked with some clients, did some trades online, I talked in foreign languages as it was nothing. It was

already 8:00pm and I felt like I just woke up in the morning, not a sign of being tired. In this day (I took the tablet 6:50am in the morning) I was

soooo productive like never before in my life. But....I took too much. I couldn't fall asleep as fast as I normally do and a woke up several times at

night. My brain could not shut down.

This is the strongest shit I ever had in my life. Modvigil from afinilexpress is DEFINITELY NOT a fake!!

My sweet spot might be around 100-150mg....200mg is waaaay too strong for me!

Cheers
