7 Tips and Tricks For Using Modafinil Like a Pro

In this post I’m going to lay out a few tips and tricks I’ve learned in my journeys taking Modafinil….

Because I think you can agree, there are 2 ways you can do things – the right way and the wrong way. When taking Modafinil it’s crucial to do things right to maintain peak performance at all times.

1.) Take EARLY in the morning

Modafinil will keep you up all night if you take it in the afternoon. I’ve received packages of Modafinil later in the day and made the mistake of taking it right on the spot. You never want the compound to interfere with your natural sleep cycles. You can easily get caught in a viscous cycle of using Modafinil everyday because of the previous nights poor sleep. Take as early as possible to avoid any disruptions to sleep.

2.) Take ONLY when sleep deprived

When talking about focus and concentration there are much better Nootropics out there than Modafinil. Modafinil truly shines only in the sleep deprived. If you have accumulated a sleep debt due to being overworked Modafinil can crank on all the cylinders in the brain. However, Modafinil provides little value if you already have a natural level of energy and you sleep well each night. Modafinil is the only Nootropic that can mitigate the negative consequences of little sleep effectively. If you have bad sleep you’re not going to get much out of other Nootropics, most notably the racetams. These types of compounds are only effective when you have a solid foundation of healthy sleep.

3.) Know the different TYPES

There are 4 different types of Modafinil – Modalert, Modvigil, Waklert, and Artvigil. The latter 2 are versions of Armodafinil while the first 2 are Modafinil. Armodafinil is an enhanced version of Modafinil and lasts much longer. My recommendation is always start off with Modalert 200 and then progress to either Waklert or Artvigil if you don’t see results.

4.) Buy from RELIABLE suppliers

There’s a lot of shady vendors out there and it’s hard to know who to trust. I keep an updated link here for Modafinil vendors I currently trust. Currently this is a company called Buy Moda but this is always subject to change. Modafinil vendors come and go like the wind.

5.) Split the pill in HALF

200mg is too much for most people. You can easily get away with taking a half tablet. Modafinil tablets are scored right down the middle and can be split in half with ease. If you find an entire tablet is too much just take half. You are saving yourself money.

6.) Manage the ANXIETY

Modafinil has stimulating qualities which can produce anxiety in some individuals. The best method of managing this anxiety is with L-Theanine. L-Theanine is a Nootropic popularized by its ability to mitigate all the negative effects from caffeine. Anxiety, the jitters, sweaty palms, these all go away when L-Theanine is taken alongside.

7.) Develop a CYCLING protocol

You should not take Modafinil everyday. Modafinil is for those times where you’re exhausted but must power through regardless. You should never rely on Modafinil as your main energy driver and seek to improve your baseline whenever possible through nutrition and exercise. A good starting point is limiting your use of Modafinil to 1 – 3 times a week. This ensure you do not develop a tolerance to the compound and that it always remains effective. Limiting your use like this also ensures your body continues to rely on its own natural systems of energy production.
